Bears request to interview Giants’ Mike Kafka for head coach emptiness

The Chicago Bears have requested to talk to New York Giants assistant head coach/offensive coordinator Mike Kafka with regard to filling their head teaching emptiness, reviews NFL Community’s Ian Rapoport.

Kafka, 37, has been the Giants’ offensive coordinator since Brian Daboll took over as head coach in 2022. He beforehand labored as Patrick Mahomes’ quarterback coach in Kansas Metropolis below head coach Andy Reid.

Kafka could be an ideal match for the Bears as he’s each a Chicago native and a former star quarterback at Northwestern College.

“Mike’s been an ideal teammate, good coach, good pal. Does a great job for us,” stated Daboll.

Daboll remains to be waffling about his position as a play-caller going ahead after co-owner John Mara spoke about it on Monday. If Kafka goes, Daboll must discover one other coach to name the performs for him.
