Bengals’ Hendrickson reacts to blunt remark about negotiations

Cincinnati Bengals government vp Katie Blackburn’s remark about contract negotiations with Trey Hendrickson clearly upset the star edge-rusher.
Hendrickson is coming into the ultimate 12 months of his contract in 2025 and looking for an extension. On Tuesday, Blackburn mentioned, “[Hendrickson] needs to be comfortable at sure charges that perhaps he would not suppose he’d be comfortable at,” through the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway.
In a Wednesday interview with “The Pat McAfee Present,” Hendrickson replied to Blackburn.
“The one factor I hoped was an April Fools’ joke was that article,” Hendrickson mentioned. “That was a bit disappointing, as a result of communication has been poor, that is one thing I maintain in excessive regard. They haven’t communicated with my agent immediately. It has been … a bit irritating.”
