TE Juwan Johnson to re-sign with Saints on 3-year deal

Tight finish Juwan Johnson has agreed to a three-year contract to re-sign with the New Orleans Saints, agent AJ Vaynerchuk introduced on social media Tuesday.
Johnson, 28, had a foot situation final summer season that required surgical procedure and brought on him to overlook most of coaching camp with the Saints. He returned for the beginning of the season and performed all 17 video games, catching a career-high 50 passes and three touchdowns.
Johnson signed with New Orleans as a 2020 undrafted rookie free agent broad receiver out of Oregon. Former Saints coach Sean Payton made the choice to modify him to tight finish in 2021 after Johnson caught solely 4 passes as a rookie wideout.
In 2022, he caught 42 passes for 508 yards and 7 touchdowns from quarterback Andy Dalton. Johnson’s seven receiving touchdowns led the staff that season and he signed a two-year extension earlier than the 2023 season.
